Co-ordination Platform

The Coordination Platform has been established to stimulate a dialogue between different projects and initiatives in CADSES with similar aims and overlapping geographies to the PlaNet CenSE pilot projects “Metropolitan networks” and “North-South Corridors”. It addresses all regional and national actors involved in urban networking or the development of transport corridors in Central and South East Europe (stakeholders within INTERREG III A, B or C, TINA, DG Transport etc.).

In practical terms, one of the main activities so far included the implementation of a forum, which took place on 18-19th May 2006 in Krakow. During this occasion, ongoing and future urban network or transport projects were promoted, developed and discussed by both spatial and transport planners. Bringing different actors together the underlying idea of the forum was to exchange information, knowledge and experience, and thus to better utilise synergy effects and reduce redundancies in the future. Future activities include a continuation of the established dialogue with different projects and initiatives. In addition, the feasibility of an interactive coordination tool is examined, which is developed to assist future coordination and information exchange between different projects.
More information ….

If you know about concurrent or planned initiatives dealing with urban networks or transport corridors in Central and South East Europe (not only INTERREG projects), or if you are interested in joining the dialogue please fill in the online questionnaire. The questionnaire helps to build up a project list, that briefly informs all interested actors about ongoing or planned projects in CADSES.
